About
The purpose of this project is to enhance pedestrian safety by constructing a pedestrian-activated midblock crossing with a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB).
Get Involved
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a project open house on Wednesday, February 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Unity of Central Florida Church, 771 Holden Ave., Orlando, FL 32839.
To provide additional flexibility, the FDOT is also offering online opportunities to participate:
- Join an online webinar at 5:30 p.m. to watch a project presentation and submit written questions or comments using the webinar questions box. To attend using this option, register at https://fdot.cc/S-Orange_Ave_Safety. Please make sure to provide adequate time to log in to view the presentation in its entirety.
- Interested individuals may also view the project video and exhibits by clicking on the files below. Project materials will be available beginning Wednesday, February 19, and will be the same as what will be shared at the in-person open house. While materials will remain on the website throughout the project, please provide comments by Monday, March 3, 2025, to have them included in the open house record. Questions and comments can be submitted by clicking the blue box on this page.
