About

The purpose of this project is to build a new designated truck parking facility near Interstate 4 (I-4) in Osceola County. The proposed facility is located about 3.87 miles east of the I-4 interchange with County Road (C.R.) 532. The planned facility would be bordered by the new Poinciana Parkway Extension, which is currently in design, Osceola Polk Line Road and U.S. 17-92.

The plan calls for a facility that would provide 230 truck parking spaces, along with other amenities to help serve regional freight parking demand and enhance safety and mobility.

The site is one of five potential sites identified along the I-4 corridor from Osceola County to Volusia County. The preferred locations were determined during a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study, which is expected to finish in summer 2024.
