This is second segment of a project to widen State Road (S.R.) 50 from east of Avalon Park Boulevard to east of Chuluota Road (County Road (C.R.) 419) near Bithlo in Orange County. This segment will widen from east of Avalon Park Boulevard to west of Parry Lane. The rest of the corridor will be widened under project 450696-1.

The improved S.R. 50 will have three travel lanes in each direction separated by a raised median.  Full and directional median openings will be provided at certain locations along the corridor.

Safer accommodations for both bicycles and pedestrians will be included. Drainage upgrades and enhanced lighting are also planned.  Access to the Park and Ride facility will be reconfigured for the new S.R. 50 typical section.
