About

The goal of this project is to resurface the segment of State Road (S.R.) 426 from South Park Avenue to North Lakemont Avenue in Winter Park, near Rollins College. Additional safety improvements included in this project were developed through the S.R. 426 Coalition to help manage speed through the corridor and provide more pedestrian crossing options. Raised intersections and new midblock crossings equipped with Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons are planned. The project also proposes to add median islands, and to enhance pavement markings and signage near the curve at Brewer Avenue.

A Coalition Project to evaluate potential concepts for the corridor was conducted under Financial Project Identification (FPID) Number 451282-1. The preferred concepts are being finalized during design.
