The purpose of this project is to enhance safety at the intersection of Babcock Street (State Road (S.R.) 507) and Eber Boulevard/Pirate Lane in Melbourne, Brevard County. Proposed improvements consist of reconstructing the existing traffic signals with new signal poles and upgraded signal heads.  Pedestrian safety enhancements are also planned, including upgraded pedestrian signals and high emphasis crosswalks, as well as reconstructed pedestrian curb ramps.

FDOT will be coordinating with the City of Melbourne regarding planned improvements on Pirate Lane.
