The improvements under this project will deploy the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Advanced Incident (queue and stopped vehicle) Warning System along Interstate 75 (I-75) in Marion and Sumter counties. Deployment seeks to provide early detection of traffic incidents to give travelers vital notifications of unsafe traffic conditions ahead to reduce secondary crashes. 

Seven queue warning systems will be installed along I-75 at these approximate locations: in Sumter County at mile markers 322.9 and 334.9, and in Marion County at mile markers 336.4, 340.3, 341.6, 347.6, 348.8.
