About
This project plans to resurface State Road (S.R.) A1A from South 8th Street to North 18th Street in Flagler Beach to extend the life of the existing roadway. Pedestrian improvements are planned, including upgrading midblock crossings with pedestrian activated signals known as Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHBs). The PHBs are planned at:
- South 8th Street
- South 3rd Street
- North 5th Street
Additionally, the existing crosswalk with a Rectangular Flashing Beacon (RRFB) at South 3rd Street will be relocated to South 5th Street.
Reconstruction of pedestrian curb ramps to comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards is included.
