About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is making safety and operational improvements to U.S. 1 (State Road 5) from south of Minnie Lane to the Volusia County Line (County Line Ditch Road). The roadway is being resurfaced throughout the project limits to extend the life of the pavement. Drainage improvements, new guardrail, and roadway signage will be placed as a part of this project. Additionally, new crosswalks, pedestrian signals, and upgraded pedestrian curb ramps will be installed to improve pedestrian safety and meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.

The existing traffic signal at Anglers Lane/Brockett Road will be enhanced with new Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technology to improve traffic camera operations. Other upgrades include 14 new bus stop pads.
