About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is proposing improvements along Clyde Morris Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) 483) from Beville Road (S.R. 400) to north of Dunn Avenue in Daytona Beach. The project goal is to resurface the roadway and enhance safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers throughout the corridor. Planned improvements include wider sidewalks or a shared-use path, sidewalk connectivity throughout the corridor, and a new 20-foot-wide pedestrian tunnel under Clyde Morris Boulevard just north of the main entrance to Embry Riddle University.

The project also plans to construct a center median with landscaping and other measures to help encourage safer vehicle speeds. Traffic signal upgrades where feasible, enhanced lighting, and necessary drainage improvements are included.

This project is not yet funded for construction.
