The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) plans to install a new traffic signal to enhance safety at the intersection of U.S. 1 (State Road 5 / North Cocoa Boulevard) and Cidco Road. The project is based on a 2018 traffic engineering study. The project also plans to repave parts of the intersection for pavement marking purposes, and provide Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant curb ramps and crosswalks. One driveway will also be relocated (in the southwest quadrant) to fall under signal control.
