About

FDOT is proposing operational and safety enhancements along U.S. 441 from Wadsworth Road to the Lake County line, between the cities of Apopka and Mount Dora. The project plans to resurface this segment of U.S. 441 to extend the life of the existing roadway. To enhance safety, the project recommends modifications at the intersection of U.S. 441 and County Road (C.R.) 500A, which include removing the left turn from eastbound C.R. 500A to northbound U.S. 441 and realigning the left turn from northbound U.S. 441 to westbound C.R. 500A.

Pedestrian improvements are planned at the Stoneybrook Hills Parkway intersection, including new crosswalks and pedestrian signals, as well as enhanced lighting.
