About
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is reconstructing the existing traffic signals at the intersection of North Mills Avenue (State Road 15) and Mount Vernon Street in Orlando. The signals will be upgraded from a diagonal cable system to a new heavy-duty mast arm system. These mast arms will support additional signal heads for the eastbound and westbound left-turn movements on Mount Vernon Street. This project will also include pedestrian signal upgrades and curb reconstruction to enhance safety. Other work will involve signage, pavement markings, and necessary utility adjustments

Monday, Nov. 18 through Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists can expect a northbound outside single lane closure and side street closure at the Mount Vernon Street and North Mills Ave. intersection for curb ramp reconstruction. Driveway access will be maintained. FDOT encourages all roadway users to drive, walk and ride with caution and courtesy and follow all posted detour signs!
