About

This project will build a new designated truck parking facility near Interstate 4 (I-4) in Orange County to serve Central Florida and support the state’s freight industry. The proposed facility is located approximately 2.9 miles east of I-4, on the northeast corner of the Sand Lake Road and John Young Parkway intersection, and adjacent to Florida’s Turnpike.

Design is expected to begin in fall 2026.

The facility will provide approximately 93 truck parking spaces, along with other amenities to help serve regional freight parking demand and enhance safety and mobility.

The site is one of five locations identified through the Truck and Freight Alternative Site Analysis Project Development & Environment (PD&E) Study (FPID No.: 447724-1). The other four sites are being designed under the following project numbers: Seminole County 446445-1; Volusia County eastbound 446445-2; Volusia County westbound 446445-4; and Osceola County 446445-5.
