The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is implementing roadway and pedestrian safety improvements along North Orange Avenue (State Road (S.R.) 527) between the intersections of Clay Avenue and South Orlando Avenue (U.S. 17/92). This safety project also includes lane reduction, milling, and resurfacing; construction of new sidewalks and bus pads; construction of a raised crosswalk; construction of new drainage structures; replacement of signs and pavement markings; signalization improvements; construction of new mast arms; tree removal; pruning of trees and branches; inclusion of new lighting structures; and utility relocation along North Orange Avenue (S.R. 527) from Clay Avenue to South Orlando Avenue (U.S. 17/92). This project is located within the City of Orlando and the City of Winter Park, just north of the City of Orlando downtown core and within the Orlando Urban Area boundary.
