This project will improve safety and operations along State Road (S.R.) 33 from south of Edgewood Boys Ranch Road to S.R. 50. Safety improvements for drivers include widening the existing paved shoulders through the curves in the road along Edgewood Boys Ranch Road and Groveland Airport Road and creating a new southbound left turn from S.R. 33 to Pine Island Road (County Road 565B).

Additionally, the two-way left turn lane from Wright Street to S.R. 50 will be converted to a northbound only left turn lane. At the S.R. 33 and S.R. 50 intersection, the project also will reconstruct and upgrade the traffic signals, add crosswalks and sidewalk curb ramps, and upgrade pedestrian lighting. A new southbound left turn lane from S.R. 33 onto Groveland Airport Road and new sidewalk between Domenico Court and Parkwood Road along northbound S.R. 33 will also be constructed.
