About
The purpose of this project is to improve operations and enhance safety for drivers and pedestrians at the intersection of U.S. 1 (State Road 5) and Fay Boulevard in Port St. John. The project will reconstruct and upgrade the existing traffic signals, including new signal poles. Pedestrian safety improvements include reconstructing the corner curbs and pedestrian curb ramps, adding and upgrading crosswalks, and constructing new pedestrian signals.
FDOT is purchasing right of way for this project. Aquisition is expected to finish in spring 2025. Affected property owners have been notified by the Department.
