About
The purpose of the project is to repave this segment of U.S. 1 (State Road (S.R.) 5) to extend the service life of the existing roadway. To enhance safety, the project proposes to convert the existing median opening at East Plane Street to a directional median opening. Other improvements include constructing a 6-foot-wide sidewalk to close sidewalk gaps where existing right of way allows and upgrading pedestrian features at intersections within the project limits.
A new traffic signal is also planned at the intersection of U.S. 1 and County Road 13.
