The purpose of this project is to make safety improvements along State Road (S.R.) 434 from west of Oleander Street to east of East Street. The project includes upgrading the traffic and pedestrian signals at the intersections of South Grant Street and South Wayman Street. The project will also reconstruct and enhance the existing raised median island east of Oleander Street, and refresh crosswalks and signage.

The project will be constructed with the County Road 427 intersection improvements project (439040-1).
