About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is constructing an approximately 3.6-mile, 12-foot-wide multi-use trail from the intersection of Clarcona-Ocoee Road and North Hiawassee Road to the junction of U.S. 441 (North Orange Blossom Trail), Apopka Boulevard, and State Road (S.R.) 414 (Maitland Boulevard). This work will improve sidewalk conditions and enhance overall safety at Clarcona-Ocoee Road, Beggs Road, Pine Hills Road, and Orange Blossom Trail. This project is part of FDOT's Shared-Use Nonmotorized (SUN) Trail network, which prioritizes cyclist and pedestrian safety by developing and constructing paved trail corridors that are physically separated from vehicle traffic. The trail will remain separated from the roadway by at least 4 feet. FDOT will also widen the existing sidewalk under the S.R. 414 ramp to accommodate the trail.
