Project Details
About
The project begins south of State Road (S.R.) 40 (West Silver Springs Boulevard) on U.S. 441/U.S. 27/U.S. 301 (South Pine Avenue) and extends northward stretching between SW 3rd Street to NW 2nd Street. The intent of the project is to implement traffic operation improvements and improve the life of the pavement through milling and resurfacing the existing travel lanes, and turn lane widening.
Minor drainage, pedestrian, sidewalk, intersection and signalization improvements are also a part of this project. The proposed improvements will add a dual left turn on northbound U.S. 441 to S.R. 40, and extend the left turn lane from southbound U.S. 441 to S.R. 40, and the northbound left turn from U.S. 441 to NW 2nd Street.

Lane Closures

Sunday, June 16, through Wednesday, July 31, 8:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m., nightly: Motorists should expect nightly lane closures at the U.S. 441 and S.R. 40 intersection for signal pole removal. Please reduce your speed and remain cautious when bypassing the work zone.

Temporary Road Closure on NW 2nd Street at U.S. 441 Southbound
Northwest 2nd Street is temporarily closed at U.S. 441 (Pine Avenue) southbound as workers conduct utility work there. Detour information:
- Traveling northbound on U.S. 441 (Pine Avenue), turn left on State Road (S.R.) 40/West Silver Springs Boulevard, right on NW 7th Avenue, and right on NW 2nd Street.
- Traveling southbound on U.S. 441 (Pine Avenue), turn right on S.R. 40/West Silver Springs Boulevard, right on NW 7th Avenue, and right on NW 2nd Street.
Because of this work, traffic has been shifted to the inside lanes to provide crews with a protected workspace. Please reduce your speed, heed posted signage, and avoid distractions. The work schedule is subject to change due to weather or unexpected circumstances.
