About

This project proposes to increase capacity and safety along State Road (S.R.) 40 from the end of the four-lane section to east of County Road (C.R.) 314.  The proposed design would provide two 12-foot-wide lanes in each direction separated by a 40-foot-wide grassed median.  A 12-foot-wide multi-use trail is planned along the north side of the road from NE 60th Court to Ray Wayside Park near the Ocklawaha River Bridge.

This project also includes the replacement of the Ocklawaha River Bridge with two bridges at a lower profile.  Wildlife crossings are provided throughout the project.

All right of way acquisition for the project has been completed.
