OCALA, Fla. — The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will hold a construction update open house regarding safety improvements on State Road (S.R.) 200 from east of Interstate 75 (I-75) to U.S. 441/U.S. 301/U.S. 27 (Pine Avenue) on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The purpose of the project is to enhance safety along the corridor by adding raised medians that will help manage conflicting turning movements. The open house is an opportunity for the community to learn about the project plans, including how the medians will be constructed, and provide feedback.

The in-person open house will be held at Ewers Century Center at the College of Central Florida, Room 107, 3001 SW College Road, Ocala, FL 34474. Attendees will be able to view a looping presentation and project displays, speak with project team members, and submit comments or questions.

To provide additional flexibility for stakeholders, the FDOT is also offering online opportunities to get involved:

  • Join an online webinar at 5:30 p.m. to watch a project presentation and submit written questions or comments using the webinar questions box.  To attend using this option, register at https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/562261004025065054. Please make sure to provide adequate time to log in to view the presentation in its entirety.

Project materials will be available beginning Feb. 26 and will be the same as what will be shared at the in-person open house. While the information will remain on the website throughout the project, please provide comments or questions by Monday, March 10, 2025, to have the comments included in the open house record.
