Traffic Advisory: Detours on Ocean Shore Boulevard at East Granada Boulevard to Start Feb. 17
VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the southbound lanes of Ocean Shore Boulevard (State Road (S.R.) A1A) between East Granada Boulevard (S.R. 40) and Standish Drive in Ormond Beach will be closed in three nonconcurrent segments, with the first segment starting as soon as Monday, Feb. 17. The three segmented closures will occur over a 6-month period and are necessary to allow for drainage, curb and gutter, and pedestrian enhancement operations.

- Segment 1: Starting Feb. 17, the southbound lanes of Ocean Shore Boulevard will be closed between Neptune Avenue and East Granada Boulevard for approximately two months. Please note that the detour will be temporarily lifted for Daytona Bike Week from Friday, Feb. 28 through Sunday, Mar. 9. Construction activities will also be paused during this time. Construction activities and the detour will resume on Monday, Mar. 10.
o Detour information: Motorists traveling south on Ocean Shore Boulevard wishing to reach East Granada Boulevard will turn right on Neptune Avenue, turn left on North Halifax Drive, and then continue south to East Granada Boulevard.
- Segment 2: The southbound lanes of Ocean Shore Boulevard will be closed between Amsden Road and Neptune Avenue for approximately two months. The closure dates for this segment will be announced subsequently.
o Detour information: Motorists traveling south on Ocean Shore Boulevard wishing to reach East Granada Boulevard will turn right on Amsden Road, turn left on North Halifax Drive, and then continue south to East Granada Boulevard.
- Segment 3: The southbound lanes of Ocean Shore Boulevard will be closed between Standish Drive and Amsden Road for approximately two months. The closure dates for this segment will be announced subsequently.
o Detour information: Motorists traveling south on Ocean Shore Boulevard wishing to reach East Granada Boulevard will turn right on Standish Drive, turn left on North Halifax Drive, and then continue south to East Granada Boulevard.
