Traffic Advisory: Traffic Shift Planned for Conway Road, from Devonshire Lane to Lake Underhill Road
ORLANDO, Fla. – Motorists are advised that a traffic shift will be implemented on Conway Road (State Road (S.R.) 15) between Devonshire Lane and Lake Underhill Road beginning as early as Monday, Jan. 27.
This traffic shift is expected to remain in place through March as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) continues work on its project to improve safety and traffic operations in this corridor. This work is part of FDOT’s resurfacing project on Conway Road, from Devonshire Lane to Lake Underhill Road.
Southbound traffic has been shifted toward the median to provide space for crews working in the outside lane. The center turn lane will be used temporarily as a southbound travel lane to accommodate construction activities, such as milling, resurfacing, and installing a protected bike lane.
In addition to the traffic shift, periodic single-lane closures will occur during daytime and nighttime hours. The speed limit throughout the corridor has been reduced from 45 mph to 35 mph for the duration of the project.
FDOT advises motorists to reduce their speed, follow posted signage, and exercise extra caution in the work zone. Construction schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
