Traffic Advisory: Westbound I-4 Exit Ramp to Sand Lake Road Scheduled to Close Overnight December 8-12
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists should be advised that the westbound Interstate 4 (I-4) off-ramp to Sand Lake Road (State Road (S.R.) 482) at Exit 74A is scheduled to close nightly from Sunday, December 8, through Thursday, December 12. The closure will begin as early as 10 p.m. each night and the ramp will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.
This closure is necessary for storm drain installation as part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) improvement project at the I-4 and Sand Lake Road interchange.
During the ramp closure, motorists traveling on westbound I-4 who wish to access Sand Lake Road should take Exit 74B onto Adventure Way. From there, motorists will turn right onto eastbound Hollywood Way, then turn right again onto Universal Boulevard, and continue south to Sand Lake Road.
Alternatively, after taking Exit 74B onto Adventure Way, motorists can turn left onto westbound Hollywood Way, then turn left again onto Turkey Lake Road, and proceed south to Sand Lake Road. See the attached detour map.
Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances. FDOT advises motorists to use caution, be alert while driving or riding through active construction zones and follow all posted detour signs.
