Traffic Advisory: Yearlong Traffic Shift on Eastbound I-4 at Apopka-Vineland Road Starting November 18
ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists should be advised that a traffic shift on eastbound Interstate 4 (I-4) at Apopka-Vineland Road (State Road (S.R.) 535) is scheduled to begin Monday, November 18, at 10 p.m. and last through late 2025. Traffic will shift one lane toward the outside shoulder, providing space for crews to work on the bridges over S.R. 535.
In addition to shifting traffic, crews will periodically implement single- and double-lane closures during the first three nights of the shift to accommodate striping operations and the construction of a barrier wall. These lanes closures are necessary to facilitate the traffic shift.
This work is part of the ongoing improvement project at I-4 and S.R. 535.
FDOT advises motorists to reduce their speed and use caution in the work zone. Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
