Traffic Advisory: I-75 Rest Area and Ramp Closures to Start Oct. 28
MARION COUNTY, Fla. – Motorists are advised that the northbound Interstate 75 (I-75) on ramp from County Road (C.R.) 484 will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, for signal pole and mast arm installation.
Motorists wishing to travel north on I-75 should travel east on C.R. 484, turn left at C.R. 475, turn left at Southeast 32nd Street (which becomes Southwest 42nd Street and then Southwest 43rd Street Road), turn right onto State Road (S.R.) 200, and turn left onto the northbound I-75 on ramp.
Additionally, the southbound I-75 rest area located near mile marker 346 will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, to resurface the rest area’s entrance and exit ramps. Alternate rest stops are located 37 miles north of the closed facility near mile marker 382 in Alachua County and 39 miles south near mile marker 307 in Sumter County.
These improvements are part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) 14-mile resurfacing project on I-75 from the Sumter County line to S.R. 200. Please note the work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
