About
The purpose of this project is to enhance safety by constructing raised concrete medians at South 14th Street (S.R. 25/U.S. 27) and South Street / West Dixie Avenue (S.R. 44) intersection in Leesburg, Lake County.
A median is proposed on South Street from west of Flamingo Drive/Hood Avenue to the intersection at South 14th Street. Another median is proposed on South 14th Street from south of Bryant Street to the intersection at South Street / West Dixie Avenue. These medians will limit left turning movements to and from side streets and driveways along each corridor. These improvements will enhance safety by implementing improved access control, enhancing traffic flow and reducing the possibility of conflict points, or locations where a crash can occur.
