About
This project plans to resurface State Road (S.R.) A1A from South 8th Street to North 18th Street in Flagler Beach to extend the life of the existing roadway. Pedestrian improvements are planned, including upgrading intersection crosswalks with pedestrian activated signals known as Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHBs).
The Pedestrian Hybrid Beacons (PHBs) are located at the following locations:
- South 8th Street
- South 3rd Street
- North 5th Street
- Moody Boulevard (S.R. 100)
Reconstruction of pedestrian curb ramps to comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards is also included.

Monday, April 14 through Friday, April 18, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Motorists can expect single lane closures on southbound and northbound State Road (S.R.) A1A from North 17th Street to South 8th Street for paving.
No expected detours at this time.
