About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will provide roadway and safety improvements on State Road (S.R.) 464 from Southwest 2nd Avenue to S.R. 35 in Ocala, Marion County. The purpose of the project is to rehabilitate the road and enhance safety for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.

Work will consist of milling and resurfacing the roadway, as well as upgrading the pedestrian signals and enhancing intersection lighting. To facilitate operations along the corridor the project will be modifying some driveways and adjusting drainage as needed. Additional work will include the construction of sidewalks, bicycle lanes, and bus stops along the corridor.

Lane Closures
  • ***Accident Closes One Eastbound Lane on S.R. 464 at 47th Avenue***

    Due to an accident earlier this afternoon on April 26, the outside eastbound travel lane is closed along State Road (S.R.) 464 (SE Maricmap Road) at SE 47th Avenue. Expect delays and consider an alternate route. No official detour route has been announced. 

    Please check back often for updates.

  • Sunday, April 28, through Saturday, May 4, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.: Motorists should expect daytime eastbound and westbound shoulder closures within the project limits for drainage, ditch grading, and sidewalk work. Additionally, overnight eastbound and westbound outside lane closures will be in effect for signal work. Please reduce your speed, alertly merge into the open lane and cautiously bypass the construction zone.

  • Sunday, April 14, through Saturday, April 27, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.: Motorists should expect daytime eastbound and westbound shoulder closures within the project limits for drainage, ditch grading, sidewalk work, and light pole installation. Please reduce your speed, alertly merge into the open lane and cautiously bypass the construction zone.
