DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Motorists should be advised that the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will close Beville Road (State Road (S.R.) 400) between Golfview Boulevard and Segrave Street for four days beginning Saturday, May 11, and will reopen by Wednesday, May 15.

The four-day closure at Beville Road is for workers to safely conduct maintenance work on the railroad crossing. Detour signs will be in place to guide motorists around the closure. 

Motorists traveling eastbound on Beville Road should make a right turn onto either Nova Road (S.R. 5A), Magnolia Avenue, or Golfview Boulevard; turn left onto Big Tree Road; and then make a left on either Segrave Street or Ridgewood Avenue (U.S. 1) to return to Beville Road.

Motorists traveling westbound on Beville Road should make a left turn onto either Ridgewood Avenue or Segrave Street; turn right onto Big Tree Road; and then turn right onto Golfview Boulevard, Magnolia Avenue, or Nova Road to return to Beville Road.

Construction schedules are subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

FDOT advises motorists to use caution, be alert while driving or riding through active construction zones and follow all posted detour signs.
