Feedback Sought for S.R. 527 (Orange Avenue) Proposed Improvements

Orange County The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is hosting a public hearing regarding proposed improvements along State Road (S.R.) 527 (Orange Avenue) between the southbound bifurcation (where S.R. 527 splits into one-way pairs, just south of Lake Conway Drive) to north of Grant Street in Orlando. The hearing is on Tuesday, February 20, at the Beardall Senior Center, 800 South Delaney Avenue, Orlando, FL 32801.

The public hearing will start as an open house format at 5:30 p.m. with a presentation at 6 p.m. followed by public comments. The purpose of this hearing is to receive public input from the local community about the proposed milling and resurfacing improvements, and minor median improvements north of Pineloch Avenue. FDOT staff will be available to answer questions, and a certified court reporter will also be present to collect and document comments for the project record.

Public participation is sought without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex, religion, disability or family status. Persons wishing to express their concerns relative to FDOT compliance with Title VI may do so by contacting Jennifer Smith, FDOT District Five Title VI Coordinator at Jennifer.Smith2@dot.state.fl.us.
