About

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will mill and resurface approximately 3.7 miles of U.S. 27 (State Road (S.R.) 25) from north of Lake Louisa Road to north of Cluster Oak Drive in Clermont to improve the life of the existing roadway.

Travel lanes will be re-striped to accommodate 7-foot-wide buffered bicycle lanes on both sides of the road. Pedestrian enhancements include upgrading pedestrian curb ramps to current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards and constructing sidewalk along the southwest corner of Brogden Drive.

Lane Closures
  • Tuesday, May 21, through Tuesday, June 4, 24 hours per day: Motorists should expect a closure of the U.S. 27 northbound right turn lane south of John Lakes Road just before the Bob Evans restaurant for concrete and other roadway upgrades. Please reduce your speed and proceed cautiously through the construction zone.

  • Monday, May 13, through Friday, May 17, from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Motorists should expect daytime southbound outside lane closures on U.S. 27 within the project limits for signal work. Please slowly approach the construction zone, alertly merge into an open lane and proceed cautiously through the work area.
