About
The purpose of the project is to enhance safety along the corridor by installing new roadway lighting from U.S. 192 to Golden Eagle Boulevard/Greater Groves Boulevard in Lake County.
The project includes constructing new light poles with LED (light emitting diode) light fixtures within the corridor while meeting Florida Department of Transportation criteria.
Additional improvements include constructing pedestrian lighting at signalized intersections within the project limits to help improve the ability of drivers to see pedestrians at the crosswalks.

Lane Closures

Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 17, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Motorists should expect daytime northbound and southbound outside lane closures on U.S. 27 within the project limits for light pole installation. Please slowly approach the construction zone, merge safely into the open lane and proceed cautiously through the work area.
